Dare Devil Me

How amazing are these Jenni Kayne D’orsay flats? Been sort of obsessed with flats lately. Prior to these were the white canvas Chanel espadrilles. Love, love, love! Expensive, too! The husband is convinced that it is a rip off seeing how it’s literally made out of straws and (doh!) canvas. But as my wise Frenchman friend said, with espadrilles you either go dirt cheap or you show them the money – there is no such thing as an in between. So I’m slowly diverting my attention to these sexy, yet mannish, flats. They come in a truckload of colours and materials but I’m boring and practical so yes, I’d have one in black, please. Oh alright, I’ll go a bit wild. Gimme the one with the embossed croc/suede/lizard patchwork.

Maybe I should try sky diving next?

My favorite collection from NYC spring 2013 fashion week. I am really feeling the patchwork denim and the leopard blazer.

Forgive my absence. I’ve been feeling a bit under the weather this past week so I haven’t had much time nor the inspiration to blog. But all’s well now and just in time I might add as I’ve got a full day tomorrow so it should be a good day for shots. Anyways, I’ll leave you with a shot of the Prada Saffiano I snapped recently. I’ve been seeing a lot of this bag lately – I wonder why the sudden hype. It’s not really advertised in magazines and it’s been around for some time. Perhaps it’s the array of candy pop colours that it comes in?

I love how there’s a pop of soft neons in both pictures. I definitely want to try this one day. Soon.

Pajama Party

It’s definitely one of those trends that you absolutely love or hate. Haters would probably feel that it’s a lazy way of getting dressed and let’s face it, most people on the street would probably think your screw’s a bit loose. On the other side of the coin is, well, the feeling of luxury and comfort… and perhaps the feeling that you are a complete badass for rocking the pajama trend.

Alright, I admit it. I can’t really think of a reason as to why would anyone wear this from top to bottom. It’s too literal! So, my take would be to either wear one or the other i.e. either the top or the bottom with jeans or shirt, or depending on the prints, to do both but in clashing prints. Having said that, out of all the pajama pairings I’ve seen thus far, Stella McCartney’s version (the last image) is absolutely winning and I would totally wear this look.

Eddie Borgo’s FW 2012 collection. He’s brilliant, isn’t he?

I like it when couples discreetly dress like one another. It’s even cuter when it’s completely coincidental.

Aren’t the prints to die for?!! I absolutely love the gold brocade top and the pajama ensemble and these are just a few of my favorite pieces. I also want a few of the menswear items for myself! You can view the whole lookbook here. The collection will officially launch worldwide on 8 March. Lucky minks! I wish I was in London.

Hey! My week’s been pretty uneventful in terms of outfit outings so I haven’t had much to blog about. This neon sweater was pretty much my highlight of the week. Even then I was out running errands (explains the facial expression) and so didn’t really have anyone to take a decent shot of me.

Plus, I’m getting really frustrated with my current camera. I now find it highly unsatisfying and thus am on a hunt for a new toy in the form of an ILC (interchangeable lens camera).
