We finally got hold of the little man’s aqiqah’s photos and I have to say, they look great! I only wished that we could have done it a lot later i.e. when he’s a little older because his expressions now are priceless! Oh well, there will be other opportunities.

I got this amazing Radzuan Radziwill kaftan from the inlaw’s shop (Fashion Valet) – it’s kinda cool knowing that you can always find something new to wear at the very last minute. The head scarf I got online from TudungPeople. I love that they’ve added a bit of lace to an otherwise simple chiffon scarf… admittedly you can’t really see the whole piece here and it doesn’t help that it’s all white. I promise you it is perfection though!

Coffee at Equatorial Hotel. Not bad at all.

Acts Of Valor

In Out & About on March 5, 2012 at 12:42 am

Had such a blast last night at Tate @ Intermark Hotel. A good friend turned a year older and we thought it would be fun to dedicate the night’s theme to the Acts of Valor movie. Somehow when you think ‘army’ you think aviators so those were the first accessories I grabbed from home. But gosh, how do people wear sunnies in clubs?!!! It’s so freaking dark! I kept bumping into things and people. Never again!

Salvatore Ferragamo sling bag, Ray Bans aviator, Alexander Wang t-shirt, BCBG Max Azria necklace.

Thursday Night Out

In Out & About on February 25, 2012 at 1:23 pm

Went to Nero Fico to watch Reza Salleh’s open mic night with the usual suspects. Reza’s an entertaining person to listen to as his music’s not always about love and breakups. He throws in a bit of politics, health issues and public safety into his mix. May not be for everyone but hey, it’s interesting and his guitar plucking is catchy.

Dashboard Confessional 22.2.12

In Out & About on February 23, 2012 at 1:34 am

Tonight was amazing. Attended Dashboard Confessional’s acoustic performance at KL Live with Gen and other like minded die hard DC fans. The energy was superb. Everyone was singing, more like screaming, to practically every song. Chris’s voice never ceases to render me in awe and being in his presence totally made my night. Thank you so much for the opportunity Rahul!

A Bit Too Far

In Out & About on February 21, 2012 at 12:16 am

I pampered myself today (yesterday). I don’t think I’ve ever spent so much money in one sitting in all my unemployment days. I decided to give Sothys at 128 Faubourg a try since I’ve heard nothing but good things from friends with amazing skin.

I went in there with the sole purpose of taking a nap whilst having someone massage my face. Clearly I was bored of napping in my own home, on my own bed. What I didn’t expect is someone poking my face with a skin analysis thingamajig and revealed that I failed in almost all skin related aspects! I apparently have skin as dry as the Sahara desert. So I freaked out!

Yes, yes, it may have been a sales gimmick should we assume that they’ve rigged the thingamajig but right after the facial my skin was clean and glowing… like ‘is she wearing makeup?’ glowing. Unless she secretly put makeup whilst I was asleep on the consultation bed, the results were enough to convince me that I needed everything she’d use on my face. So I bought the whole store. Ok, no. I’m exaggerating. I bought some stuff. But enough to burn a hole in my wallet. I’m so psyched, I can’t wait to use them again!

Friday Night

In OOTD, Out & About on February 11, 2012 at 4:51 am

Just got back from a short trip to Singapore over the long weekend and what better way to resume routine life than a chilled-out-late-night coffee session in town? This is at Qba at Westin – I really like the atmosphere and the fact that the background music is not blaring through the speakers. They have private rooms (as the above) for small parties of 6 – 10 people. Very cosy!

I’m wearing my new leopard print shirt from Zara and bracelets from Hermes and Thomas Sabo.

Through Bvlgari Lenses

In Out & About on January 17, 2012 at 1:44 pm

Now that I’ve moved out of the family home I find myself spending more time than ever with the family. I think that’s fairly normal for newlyweds, no? Here’s the sister and I at House+Co at BSC for our weekly catch up. Anyways, I got new glasses! It’s been a long time since I’ve worn one out (the ones I had previously were not very comfortable. I used to get these painful, or rather irritating, feeling at the back of my ears after wearing them for 10 minutes) but these are too cute a pair to confine them to just the purview of the husband and the felines. Plus I think glasses make an excellent statement accessory when you’re just out in jeans and t-shirt, and of course, they make you look smarter! Haha! So here they are, out in the open. These are from Bvlgari.

27’s The New 17

In Out & About on January 12, 2012 at 12:25 am

Had such a great day today. It was the best friend’s 27th birthday and she decided that this year, she wanted to chill and just do nothing. So that’s what we did. We started out at Ben’s and just sat there for pretty much the whole afternoon and ended it with some Barney Stinton legend-ary advices. It was perfect. Nothing beats pigging out on a weekday with your best mate. Here’s Gen with her Raybans. It was sunny inside the cafe. Haha! Happy birthday Gen!

Outside The City

In OOTD, Out & About on January 5, 2012 at 11:13 am

A few months ago I was invited (along with a few others) to experience life outside the city at a friend’s eco-tourism village house in Gombak called Alang Manja. It’s a pretty cool place – you get to experience living in a kampung styled papan house with a lot (like 20!!) of your friends/family and have barbecues and swim in the river. I was wearing my animal printed harem pants from H&M, silk blouse from Topshop and sunglasses from Raybans.
